About Where to Find Scholarships
Where to Find Scholarships is a free directory of scholarship websites and places to look. We help families pick where to start, not which awards to win.
Families do not fail scholarships because they are not trying. They fail because the internet dumps them into huge, noisy lists and it is hard to tell which websites are actually worth opening. Our mission is simple: help students find scholarships that could genuinely fit them, and help parents/guardians (and counselors) spend far less time searching.
This site is the starting point: a curated directory of college scholarship websites and sources (platforms, foundations, employers, school and community lists, state and provincial portals), with a plain note on what to know before you dive in.
Who runs it
A small editorial team at Where to Find Scholarships curates sources, writes what to know, and reviews ratings.
Why it exists
Busy families need honest places to look, not another giant matcher that floods an inbox. We focus on which websites are worth opening and what to watch for before you sign up.
What we do
- Curate scholarship websites and sources (not individual award matches).
- Help you narrow by place (state / province) and find sites by name.
- Spell out what to know on each listing so you can skip the wrong rabbit holes. See how we rate.
- Keep the list fresher over time. We check links and update or remove dead sources.
- Email you when we add, remove, or materially update sources (if you get directory updates).
What this is not
- Not a scholarship application portal, matcher, or our own apply-for-you product. Some listed platforms offer assisted or bulk apply; we call that out on the card so you can decide.
- Not a promise or guarantee you will win money.
- Not paid placement: sources do not buy a listing or a higher Our rating.
- Not an endorsement of every site listed.
- Not a dump of every scholarship on the internet.
- Not financial-aid packaging, FAFSA filing, or college counseling.
How we make money
We may show a few labeled ads and offer optional email updates. Ads never change which sources we list or Our ratings. Details are in how we make money, the FAQ, and Terms of Use.
