What is Where to Find Scholarships?
Where to Find Scholarships is a free directory of scholarship websites and places to look, not a list of every individual award. It helps parents/guardians and students choose where to start.
Is this a scholarship matcher?
No. We do not pick awards for your student or say you will win money. We help you choose which scholarship websites are worth opening, then you apply on those sites.
Will this find scholarships my kid can win?
No. We show places to look, including platforms, state or province sites, sponsors, and local places. We do not rank awards for your student or promise wins. Money still comes from applying on those sites.
Is this free?
Yes. You can browse, filter, save, and visit sources at no cost. We may show labeled ads, and optional email updates are free to join and leave.
Why not just use a big free scholarship search site?
Big search sites can help with volume. This directory helps you choose which websites are worth your time, what each is good for, and what to watch for, such as noise or account friction. We do not send hundreds of awards to your inbox, and you should verify details on each source.
How do I use Category and Location?
Category means the kind of website. Location means where you live, with one place selected at a time. Nationwide platforms still show when you select a place.
What does Narrow by do?
Narrow by is an optional further trim using facts such as no account required, local, or field-specific. Chips that depended on the old Trust and Noise colors are hidden while we publish editorial scores. You can select more than one.
What does the editorial score mean?
We are replacing the old Trust, Fresh, Fit, Ease, and Noise labels with a four-dimension editorial score: Match Power, Scholarship Quality, Ease and Time to Value, and User First. Until a source is reviewed under the new rubric, cards show Not yet scored. Cost (Free, Freemium, Paid) stays outside the score. See How we score.
Are the ads scholarship recommendations?
No. Ads are labeled and separate from listings. Ads do not buy a better rating or higher placement, and a listing is not an endorsement.
What is Saved, and do I need an account?
Saved is a device and browser local list that stays until you clear it, and it is not synced to an account yet. You do not need an account to browse, filter, save, or visit sources. Use Copy or Print on the Saved page for a handoff.
What are directory email updates?
Directory email is optional and covers additions, removals, or material source updates. You can unsubscribe anytime, and we do not sell your email. These are directory map updates, not a personal award shortlist. See our Privacy policy.
How do you make money, and what if a listing looks wrong?
Free browsing is supported by labeled ads and optional email; ads never decide which sources we list or how we rate them. If a listing looks wrong, use Report an issue, or Claim this source if you represent the organization. A claim does not change the listing by itself. See How we make money.
